Academic Council

The Academic Council shall consist of the following

1	Vice Chancellor of the University	Chairman
2	All the Heads of Department of the University	Members
3	All the Professors other than the Heads of the Department	Members
4	One Reader or Lecturr from each Department other than the Head of the Department by rotation in the order of seniority	Members
5	Not more then five persons from amongst educationists of repute, eminent professionals, who are not in the service of the institute nominated by the Chairman of the society	Members
6	Not more then five persons who are not members of the teaching staff co-opted by the Academic Council for their specialised knowledge	Members
7	Registrar of the University	Secretary

Note: The terms of members other then ex-officio members shall be three years provided that the term of member under number (5) above shall be one year
